Sites for motorhomes and camping setups
If you have your own self-sufficient motorhome or campervan then you can also find accommodation to suit your needs at this Ceduna caravan park. There are options for powered and unpowered setups at Shelly Beach, with some powered sites even offering sea views.
They’ve tried to think of all the essentials that motorhome and caravan owners need for an enjoyable stay. They know what it’s like to be tempted to camp on the side of the road because of the costs of caravan park sites, so they’ve kept their prices relatively low. You can pay as little as $15 for your site with two people and add $5 per extra person as needed.
Many of the sites are also drive-thru. This means that you won’t need to do any tricky maneuvers or reversing skills to fit into tight spaces. You’ll be able to just roll in and out with peace of mind after a long day of driving on the Eyre Highway.
You’ll also have access to plenty of extra comforts from all the amazing facilities on offer. You’ll find camping at this Ceduna caravan park much more enjoyable than trying to find a spot down the road somewhere.
Ceduna caravan park facilities
You’ll find all the essential facilities at Shelly Beach Caravan Park. From all the cooking amenities to kids’ entertainment, you’ll have everything that you need at this Ceduna caravan park.
Camp kitchen
If you’re staying anywhere within the Shelly Beach Caravan Park, you can enjoy the public Camp Kitchen that is located within the grounds.
The Camp Kitchen provides a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and a small oven for your use. It’s perfect for those who prefer to cook up their own meals rather than head into town to eat out. It’s a lovely shady spot to sit, eat and ponder the day that was or will be.
BBQ facilities
Shelly Beach Caravan Park also provides their guests with a barbecue to use for mealtimes during their stay. Not only will you be able to barbecue your favorite crispy delights, but you can do it for free.
The BBQs are free to use at this Ceduna caravan park, so you can immerse your family into the great Aussie lifestyle of beach and barbecues and feel right at home.
Laundry facilities
There’s nothing worse than having to haul all your dirty laundry home with you at the end of your holiday. If you prefer to do some laundry during your stay, then there are coin-operated washing machines and dryers provided. This is especially useful for campervanners who might have been on the road for a while.
Entertainment for the kids
You won’t have to worry too much about coming up with things to keep the kids entertained at this Ceduna caravan park.
They are spoilt for choice with a variety of options to accommodate their entertainment needs. There is a playground within the park grounds that they can use and there’s also a games room and TV room for the rainy days or cold nights.
If you’re after some more outdoor activities for the kids, there’s always the beach and Scenic Dune Walk Trail nearby. We also can’t forget to mention the 3 Wheel Pedal Buggies that are available to hire as well.
The kids will find hours of fun and exploration to be had at this kid-friendly caravan park in Ceduna without even leaving the campgrounds.
Pet-friendly accommodation
You might be surprised to find that Shelly Beach Caravan Park is very pet-friendly. They’re more than happy for you to bring along your four-legged friend along for the holiday and offer accommodation to suit devoted pet owners.
There are dedicated Pet-Friendly Cottages that are able to accommodate up to 4 people with one double bed with linen, and two single bunk beds with linen as an optional extra.
These pet-friendly cottages include a bathroom, television (some with Foxtel), air-conditioner, and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a courtyard that serves as a contained outside pet area and house-trained pets are also allowed inside.
The fine print details of the pet-friendly accommodation are simple. You’ll have to pay a bond on arrival as security for your pet. Your pet must be restrained at all times and under no circumstances are they to be left unattended in pet-friendly accommodation.
Other than that (and any changes that may have come into effect since this article was written), your fur-babies are most welcome, and my bet is that they’ll just love the beach!
There are strictly no pets allowed in the Eco Shacks or Luxury Villas though. So, if you want to bring your pet along, you should definitely opt for the designated pet-friendly cottages.
Refund policy
People often skip over this but it’s important to know the fine print details of your booking. If you need to cancel at any time, the refund policy is pretty generous at Shelly Beach Caravan Park. Cancellations notified more than 7 days prior to occupancy will incur a cancellation fee of $30.00.
Cancellations within 7 days of expected arrival will incur a loss of full deposit (paid upon booking and equal to the cost of a night’s accommodation, your deposit paid upon booking is your first night’s stay). Deposits and final payments are non-refundable but can be held as a credit for 12 months, if alternative dates can be arranged.
